Decades of experience in marketing, publishing and advertising (print and digital) including a solid background in graphic design, social media, public relations, logo development, commercial art, retail packaging, and typography, with a foundation in studio art. Digital pre-press proficiency with industry-standard Macintosh Creative Cloud applications. Copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for the details. Some video and audio production experience including non-linear editing and storyboarding. AAA Carolinas (Art Director) - Charlotte, North Carolina [May 2005–December 2013]
Corporate marketing, creative project leadership, and brand management for the Carolinas branch of the American Automobile Association. Responsible for copywriting and art direction in all media and campaigns, developing and maintaining proper brand identity. Implemented job tracking system and established in-house creative team. Redesign and relaunch of club member publication. Managed team of direct reports for design and copywriting.
AAA Auto Club South (Art Director) - Tampa, Florida [May 1994–May 2005]
Corporate marketing, award-winning creative project leadership for the Southeastern branch of the American Automobile Association. Art direction, design and layout for club publication. Launch and maintenance of magazine website and AAA member e-newsletter. Technical support of computer network including recommendation, purchases, budgeting, and upgrades of software/hardware and general troubleshooting. Established and maintained Macintosh network. Served as interim production coordinator, Marketing Technology Committee Chair and member of corporate Disaster Contingency Team.
